Mathieu Hétu leads the generative AI practice at Triba, where he supports Quebec organizations in the structured, human-centered, and sustainable adoption of artificial intelligence. His approach, known for its ability to simplify complex concepts, aims to make AI accessible to professionals from all backgrounds, regardless of their technological expertise.
His mission: to increase the AI literacy of Quebec workers, not to replace their intelligence, but to empower it.
Before dedicating himself to AI training and adoption, Mathieu held leadership roles in software development and engineering for approximately fifteen years, including Vice President of Engineering at Unito, Vice President of Software Development at District M, and at GSoft (ShareGate product). This background gives him a nuanced understanding of the technological, organizational and human challenges that accompany any digital transformation, a valuable asset when it comes to equipping managers to face the arrival of AI in their teams.
An expert at the intersection of political strategy, transnational law, and emerging technologies, Mathieu Marcotte is the AI Governance Practice Leader at Triba. His mission is to guide organizations through complex ethical and regulatory frameworks to transform these challenges into drivers of strategic growth.
Before joining Triba, Mathieu co-founded CEIMIA, the Montreal-based center of expertise for the Global Partnership on Artificial Intelligence (GPAI), where he orchestrated high-level international collaborations with over 50 governments. His career is marked by formative experiences, notably at Element AI as Head of Community Relations and Special Projects, as well as a decade working in political offices at all three levels of government in Canada.
Holding a Juris Doctor in transnational law, Mathieu combines legal rigor with a pragmatic vision of innovation. Recognized for its ability to build trusted ecosystems and
to foster cohesion within dynamic environments, it is committed to
promoting AI adoption that is both high-performing and socially
responsible.
